Infineon Technologies reported Total CO2e Emissions - Market-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 30 September 2021 at 994 Kt (+129/+15% y-o-y). At the sime time, carbon intensity plummeted to 76 t (-16 /-17.7% y-o-y).

Infineon Technologies's Scope 3 emissions soared to 1,190 Kt (+448/+60% y-o-y). The growth accelerated relative to the long-term trend (+37% CAGR) observed since 3Q'19.

The company is committed to reducing Scope 1 + 2 by 70% by 2025 from a base year 2019, which translates into the estimated reduction of -179 Kt per annum over the period of FY2022 - FY2025. This target, however, has not been recognised as science-based (and as aligned with Paris Agreement) by the SBTi.
