Western Digital reported Total CO2e Emissions - Location-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 30 June 2021 at 976 Kt (-69 /-6.6% y-o-y). Also positively, carbon intensity plummeted to 58 t (-4.8 /-7.7% y-o-y).

Western Digital's Scope 3 emissions was down at 28 Kt (-9.4 /-25.3% y-o-y).

The company is committed to reducing Scope 1 + 2 by 42% by 2030 from a base year 2020, which translates into the estimated reduction of -41 Kt per annum over the period of FY2022 - FY2030.
