The Home Depot reported Total CO2e Emissions - Location-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 31 December 2020 at 1,821 Kt (-127 /-6.5% y-o-y). Also positively, carbon intensity plunged to 14 t (-3.9 /-22% y-o-y).

The Home Depot's Scope 3 emissions increased to 2,916 Kt (+251/+9.4% y-o-y). There has been no consistent trend in recent years.

The company is committed to reducing Scope 1 + 2 by 40% by 2030 from a base year 2011, which it appears to have already achieved as of 2020. This target, however, has not been recognised as science-based (and as aligned with Paris Agreement) by the SBTi.
