Kindred Group's carbon footprint

Kindred Group reported Total CO2e Emissions - Location-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 31 December 2021 at 1.8 Kt (-0.15 /-7.4% y-o-y). Also positively, carbon intensity was down at 1.1 t (-0.3 /-21.4% y-o-y).

Kindred Group's Scope 3 emissions decreased to 0.84 Kt (-0.64 /-43.1% y-o-y). This is broadly in line with the declining trend (CAGR -46.4%) since 4Q'19.

The company is committed to reducing Scope 1 + 2 by 85% by 2023 from a base year 2018, which translates into the estimated reduction of -0.74 Kt per annum over the period of FY2022 - FY2023. This target, however, has not been recognised as science-based (and as aligned with Paris Agreement) by the SBTi.
