Jones Lang LaSalle reported Total CO2e Emissions - Market-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 31 December 2020 at 46 Kt (+15/+50% y-o-y). Carbon intensity also soared to 2,744,019 t (+1,059,002/+63% y-o-y).

Jones Lang LaSalle's Scope 3 emissions increased to 14,800 Kt (+1,784/+14% y-o-y). There has been no consistent trend in recent years.

The company is committed to reducing Scope 1 + 2 by 68% by 2034 from a base year 2018, which translates into the estimated reduction of -2.5 Kt per annum over the period of FY2021 - FY2034. This target, however, has not been recognised as science-based (and as aligned with Paris Agreement) by the SBTi.

Also, the company commits to achieving net zero for all Scopes by 2040, which translates into the estimated reduction of -742 Kt per annum over the period of FY2021 - FY2040. This science-based target is aligned with Paris Agreement to limit global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.
