Inditex reported Total CO2e Emissions - Market-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 31 December 2021 at 62 Kt (-48 /-43.6% y-o-y). Also positively, carbon intensity was down at 1.9 t (-2.7 /-58.7% y-o-y).

Inditex's Scope 3 emissions increased to 17,098 Kt (+3,756/+28% y-o-y). There has been no consistent trend in recent years.

The company is committed to reducing Scope 1 + 2 by 90% by 2030 from a base year 2018, which translates into the estimated reduction of -2.1 Kt per annum over the period of FY2022 - FY2030. This science-based target is aligned with Paris Agreement to limit global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.
