Citigroup reported Total CO2e Emissions - Location-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 31 December 2020 at 526 Kt (-65 /-11.1% y-o-y).

Citigroup 's Scope 3 emissions tumbled to 22 Kt (-104 /-82.7% y-o-y). The decline accelerated compared to the CAGR of -38.4% since 4Q'17.

The company is committed to reducing Scope 1 + 2 by 80% by 2050 from a base year 2005, which translates into the estimated reduction of -10 Kt per annum over the period of FY2021 - FY2050. This target, however, has not been recognised as science-based (and as aligned with Paris Agreement) by the SBTi.
