GHG emissions and Carbon intensity

Alten reported Total CO2e Emissions - Market-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 31 December 2020 at 7 Kt (-13 /-64.5% y-o-y). Also positively, carbon intensity plunged to 2.6 t (-4.1 /-61.2% y-o-y).

Alten's Scope 3 emissions increased to 114 Kt (+24/+27% y-o-y). The parameter has been fairly volatile.

The company is committed to reducing Scope 1 + 2 by 36% by 2035 from a base year 2018, which it appears to have already achieved as of 2020. This target, however, has not been recognised as science-based (and as aligned with Paris Agreement) by the SBTi.
